Intramural Sports

>Intramural Sports

Did you play sports in high school? Ever wanted to? Being a part of a sports team is such an amazing bond. It can also create lifelong friendships and teach one multiple lessons about life, working with others, and even themselves! Not to mention everyone is advised to get an hour of physical exercise, 4-5 days a week.

With all of that being said, there is way to get all of this in college!!! The way is through Troy University’s Intramural Sports!

Almost every sport imaginable is offered! The Troy University Intramural Sports Department serves as a recreational outlet for TROY students. Our department offers a variety of sports in order to accommodate TROY University’s dynamic student body (via website). Students and organizations can enroll a team to play in sports like ping pong, flag football, volleyball, tennis, water polo, ultimate Frisbee, and soccer.. just to name a few.

Speaking of soccer, the deadline to sing up for this sport is this week!!! Deadline to enter is this Wednesday, October 30, 2013! Roster fees for each will be $15. There will be a mandatory captains’ meeting Friday, November 1st at 3:00 pm in Lee 148 for each team captain. Failure to attend this meeting will result in forfeiture of you or your team’s eligibility in the tournament (via Trojan Today email announcement).

For any additional information you may contact Aaron Martin – Coordinator, located in the Troy University Intramural Sports Department in Lee Natatorium. Office Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00am – 3:00pm

  1. I love this post. It is very informative to me because I was an athlete in high school. I had the opportunity to participate in intramural basketball in the spring of 2012. It brought back so many memories of the days when I played high school basketball. I think all students that are not already athletes should participate in intramural sports. It can help get your mind off of the challenges of class everyday. It also helps you stay in shape and is a great form of exercise. My experience with intramural sports was a great and fun one. This post is very informative as is your other posts.
